need a title. if we really write choice of location is kind of 後巷, please suggest me how to present the selection of ths specific location can lead back to our purpose of this performance IN A FUNNY WAY, ( in my opinion it is better not to be too heavy and difficult but kai or fun. i have a drawback feeling that it is just about unpopular songs sing in a unpopular street).

please talk about which part need to enhance more (pls pls do not try suggest how the graphic should be drawn or wtever).provide me more concrete details like the sticker. the expected respones from audience. think of funny wordings to describe the sound quality?
i m quite vague about the later part of our performance.
thanks

紙杯電話

童趣
1. 有多長

3. 不明來歷的歌
4. 搭線
5. 身體的扭動影響聽到的音樂
6. Mixing

可用的
• 好很多對,像蜘蛛網(Installation),又靚又要搵源頭
• 像下雨般的Speaker,共震出音樂
• Flip Sound,跑動著一首歌
• 三間房,在中間的房間影響音樂
• 大紙杯把你罩著

Outline

1. why 7 loudspeakers?
- at least 4, achieve surround sound….
2. What we do?
- Syncronised music/ delay version -> Produce on-location music experience

4. How the audience get the info of the song being played?
- SMS/bluetooth Flags-selling(code for checking out the song on our web) reply-slip: recommend us a song in return Audience-response: love the song or not
5. A tag-line for attracting people to come instead of detailed description of our work.
6. Expose our creative process in the internet for attracting people.
7. project-web(Submit their code to get their corresponding songs) Web includes Blog:Journal, production process, song recommendation
8. Fixed volume, to amplify the song we are playing, we shorten the distance between audience to make the music confront to the audience
9. Choir
10. When passer-bys walk beyond the “yellow-line”, we stand up

technical research

synchronize speaker

need a station or the control center (a laptop) be the transmitter
wireless receiver on speaker

http://www.chinasoyo.com/enProductShow.asp?ID=113&gclid=CLL79fzw9ZQCFQxNegodQgN3qw

just like wireless mic. We set our channel on certain frequency range.
I find there are many different kind of transmitter using infra, bluetooth, wifi…etc.

need to estimate: (may need a trip in Shum Shui Po)
1.the budget.
2.the quality of audio we wish and we can get
- we will probably have a lot of interference during data transmission
3. the max distance of the transmitter ( depends on the quality / the price of our apparatus)
- this will determine the form/ distance of our speaker crew, how we mobile with the transmitter (the control center)
- the one in the link has 100 m transmission range
- the sensitive of transmitter and receiver
4.what kind of speaker to use
even it is possible to use a earphone(there is micro-speaker inside)
5. Safety
last but not the least
if we place the speaker and our head in the box together
- how we disperse heat, to avoid heat stroke
- avoid electric stroke
- will it be too heavy to wear on the head?
(this determine how we design our costume.)

………..need furhter update and review

bluetooth…connection can further enable on mobile phone in a later phrase or version if you like.

NOW PROPOSAL

Music experiments
Guerrilla
Action Plan 1:
7 in costume: Dress up as loudspeaker
Location:Alleys/”Side-tracks”
Music played: Side-tracks/Niche-songs which are not well-received
Different approach according to different locations/goals

Get proactively involved in “listening to music” – > Broadcast the music which is not often heard in mainstream media, however excellent…

Mobile Music Portal

New experience of listening to Music…

1. How do we invite audience/pedistrians to join us?
2. What is the criteria of selecting the music we play?
3. What if people are walking towards “us”?
4. What if no people are there?
5. How can we end the work?
6. What is our goal/advantage of this proposal? What will we “gain”?
7. Why is our proposal important or interesting?
8.

A real loudspeaker in the centre
1.We are 7 moving loudspeakers
Rule 1. Once the “target” come closer to the “device”, then we surround “him”
Rule 2. If no people come closer to us for 10 mins, we will come together to make the music loudly (under discussion)

2.Description/a line is printed on each of us

Technically speaking:
Something like concept of radio/pager

Reasoning: Passive listening, public spaced being dominated by ad/music we cannot control…
- Collectively playing a same song in public space, example
- Light Painting, example Pikapika
http://tochka.jp/pikapika/
- Trip, based on the content of songs,(Different actions applied to various places)
- Mobile Clubing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP2foRwR_AU

Multi-Media
- “Love”: sound collage, mixing all songs containing the same word/ Muting: Mute a recurring word in songs
